What is a locked Toggle switch?

Locking lever toggle switches are designed to help prevent tampering or accidental starting.

The unique design requires pulling up the toggle actuator (pull to unlock) before moving the switch to another position.
This helps prevent the toggle switch from being accidentally turned on or off (accidental start)
Locking toggle switches now offer skid resistance with knurled handles. With gloved hands, it is sometimes difficult to hold the smooth actuator properly. The new grip tip actuator provides a textured surface to ensure a firm grip when moving the actuator from one position to another. This improved "lock on" product improves reliability and ensures that switching between gloves and other hand protection devices can be done with confidence and ease.
